The MA-RI Chapter of HFMA is pleased to call Stonehill College in Easton, MA our pioneering Educational Partner! Stonehill’s Healthcare Management Program, in existence for forty-six (46) years, has educated many of our healthcare leaders, locally and nationwide. The Undergraduate program, led by Dr. Mitch Glavin, Chair of the Department of Healthcare Management, provides students with a solid foundation in the leadership, managerial and methodological skills that drive our healthcare system. Stonehill’s Healthcare Management Program is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), which only certifies programs with high academic standards. Stonehill’s is one of only forty-nine (49) programs certified in North America, and it is the only certified program in Massachusetts.
Students completing the major in Healthcare Management have long been required to complete a 400-hour internship within a healthcare organization, and this is typically completed by rising seniors as a full-time summer engagement for 10-12 weeks.
