Are you familiar with the term Digital Divide? This can refer to both a lack of access to high speed internet as well as a gap in skills related to leveraging technology. In a new program from the Western Massachusetts Alliance for Digital Equity and the Massachusetts’s Digital Equity Partnerships Program, elders will receive technology training helping to bridge this divide.
This training program is led by Baystate Health as a public health initiative. They hope that the new skills gained by seniors will help increase use of telemedicine, online appointment scheduling, and other health and well-being initiatives.
