As we look ahead, we’re proud to welcome a dynamic group of individuals to our board. The new year starts on June 1st, so over the next few weeks, we’ll be spotlighting each of them. Get to know the people helping to guide us into the future!
Tell us how you came to a career in healthcare and the path to your current position in your organization.
My journey into healthcare began over 30 years ago, focused on managing accounts receivable, developing recovery strategies, and consistently delivering strong financial outcomes. About 15 years ago, I was brought on to lead a call center in the Northeast that served exclusively hospitals and healthcare clients. It was then that I discovered just how intricate and compelling healthcare finance truly is—I was immediately hooked.
Through working with hundreds of hospitals and physician groups, attending client meetings, and participating in industry conferences, I found a deep passion for partnering with Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle leaders. I realized that helping organizations solve revenue challenges, generate new revenue streams, and achieve essential financial results was where I wanted to focus my career.
That insight led me to shift from operations and call center management into sales and business development. Now, as Vice President of National Business Development at SHERLOQ Solutions, I have the privilege of working closely with clients across the country, helping them meet and surpass their revenue goals. It’s a role I truly enjoy and find deeply rewarding.
What led you to become an HFMA Board Member/Committee Chair?
What led me was a genuine desire to give back, support others, and help strengthen our chapter. HFMA has had a tremendous impact on both my education and career over the years. Through this organization, I’ve connected with thousands of professionals, gained invaluable mentors, been presented with career opportunities, and built lifelong friendships.
Serving on the board allows me to pay it forward—to help others experience that same growth, connection, and sense of community that HFMA has provided me. It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to an organization that continues to shape and support so many in our industry.
What professional organizations (like HFMA), board work or other extra-curricular activities have been helpful in enhancing your career?
HFMA has been incredibly valuable to my professional growth—not just for development opportunities, but also for the sense of community it fosters. It’s a robust national network that has allowed me to connect with peers, stay informed on key issues, and continuously learn.
In addition to HFMA, I’ve also been actively involved with the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) and the Massachusetts Association of Patient Account Management (MAPAM). I served as an officer for the Twin States Chapter of AAHAM (VT-NH) for six years, including two years as Chapter President from 2017 to 2018. I’m also proud to be the current President of MAPAM for 2025—especially as we celebrate the organization’s 50th anniversary.
I’ve also earned my Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) designation through AAHAM, which has been instrumental in deepening my understanding of revenue cycle management. All of these experiences have significantly expanded my professional network and kept me closely connected to the latest industry trends and best practices.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I’m usually tackling a project around the house or spending time outdoors in the yard. I love getting outside with my Great Dane, Stella (or “Stellie” as she’s affectionately known), whether we’re walking the scenic campus of Saint Anselm College or exploring nearby mountain trails.
Outside of that, there’s a good chance you’ll find me on a golf course, enjoying the game and making the most of a beautiful day.
