- Certified Specialist Accounting & Finance (CSAF)
- Certified Specialist Ambulatory Practice Management (CSAPM)
- Certified Hospital Cost Report Specialist (CHCRS)*
- Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI)
- Certified Specialist Payment & Reimbursement (CSPR)
- Certified Specialist Physician Practice Management (CSPPM)
- Executive of Healthcare Revenue Cycle (EHRC)
- Fellow of HFMA (FHFMA)
The cost to enroll in a certification program is included in your HFMA membership, except for the new CHCRS training program, see the HFMA.org website for more details on this program’s cost.
Obtaining certification(s) is beneficial to both the individual and the organization. Individuals benefit from improving their skills and becoming proficient in their field. Organizations benefit from employing healthcare professionals with increased and up to date knowledge of industry terminology and trends.
Updated CRCR and Certified Specialist Recertification Due Date Extended for 2025
HFMA has updated recertification due dates for Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) and Certified Specialist (CS) [CSAF, CSBI, CSPR, CSPPM] designations. The re-certification date has now been extended to September 30, 2025.
To recertify as a CRCR or CS, individuals must complete a 50-question assessment every two years. Upon successful completion of the 2025 Recertification exam, the new recertification date will be May 31, 2027. Cost: Free for HFMA members (auto-enrollment). $100 for non-members.
