👤 Name:  Britt Pinci

🏥 Current Employer and Role

Senior Director of Pricing Analytics
Boston Children’s Hospital Physicians’ Organization

🤝 When did you join HFMA and why?

I joined HFMA around 2006 after being encouraged by colleagues who recognized its value in offering strong networking opportunities and helping members stay current with leading practices in healthcare finance.

🎓 What certification(s) did you recently receive and why did you decide to pursue certification?

I recently earned both the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) and Certified Specialist Physician Practice Management (CSPPM) certifications. My background has been primarily in revenue cycle and operations, and I felt the CHFP would demonstrate my broader competency across healthcare finance. The CSPPM allowed me to validate my expertise in physician practice management, including finance, reimbursement, and payer contracting.

💡 Have you leveraged the knowledge you gained through the certification process in your job? If so, how?

Absolutely. My role requires staying current on emerging topics and best practices in healthcare. I regularly apply what I learned through the certification process to help guide our teams through daily challenges and support effective, informed decision-making.

🌐 What is your favorite thing about being a member of HFMA?

The networking—especially within the local Massachusetts-Rhode Island region. HFMA creates outstanding opportunities to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and learn what others across the industry are doing. As chair of the Education Subcommittee for this year’s Revenue Cycle & Finance Conference, I encourage you to join us and experience it for yourself!

📝 Any advice you would offer to someone considering pursuing a certification with HFMA?

You can study at your own pace, and there’s the option to retake the exam if needed. Even with many years of healthcare experience, I found the content valuable for staying current and enhancing my overall knowledge.

✈️ Anything else we should know about you?

I’m a licensed skydiver with just under 1,000 jumps! While I don’t jump regularly anymore, I’m always happy to join friends who want to give it a try.
