It’s time to review your Member Engagement Points! Formerly Founders Points

Please review your HFMA Member Engagement Points for the 2024-25 year. Click here to log-in and access your membership profile: http://www.hfma.org. Communicate any changes/additions to your points for year to Amy Poole at the HFMA MA-RI Chapter office at admin@ma-ri-hfma.org.

You can view your Founders Points by clicking “My Account” on the upper right hand side of the screen under your photo, then on “My Engagement Points”.

Awards:  Eligibility to receive a 2023 Founders award is based on activity through 5/31/2023.  Founders award eligibility does not reflect the total “real time” points since there may be points listed in a member’s profile for current year activity.

Please Note: Although HFMA National and the Chapter track most member points, you are ultimately responsible for tracking and notifying your Founders Contact of your activity. If you have any questions regarding the Founders Points process, please contact the Chapter Office at admin@ma-ri-hfma.org.

Information on the HFMA Member Engagement Award Program

As an HFMA member one way to get involved is through engaging in volunteer activities and other such contributions. HFMA values these contributions and has developed the Member Engagement Program to honor these engagement achievements by members. There are many different ways to earn points as part of the Member Engagement Program – both at a local chapter level and at a national level. Below you’ll find a list of various activities in five different categories – Literary Contributions, Chapter Committees, National Committees, Event Contributions and Miscellaneous. Later in this document you can learn more about the award levels and background on the Award Program.

The Awards

Four (4) awards can be obtained based on the point system.

  • The Bronze Award is awarded after a member has earned 25 engagement points.
  • The Silver Award is awarded to a member who has earned 50 total engagement points.
  • The Gold Award is presented to a member who has earned a total of 75 engagement points.
  • The Medal of Honor is conferred by nomination of the Chapter Board of Directors. This prestigious award recognizes an individual who has been actively involved in HFMA for at least three years after earning the Gold Award, has provided significant service at the chapter, regional and/or national level in at least two of those years, and remains a member in good standing. A chapter may nominate members for this award at any time during the year.

How can I earn points?

Members can earn points by: volunteering in a chapter or national committee; writing an article; mentoring a new member; speaking at an event; participating on a panel and participating in a chapter or national meeting in a volunteer role. Chapter members can view their Engagement points in real time, 24/7 on the HFMA web site. .

For more information about the Engagement Award program, members should contact their chapter’s Founders Contact or Chapter Relations Specialist, at (800) 252-HFMA or chapters@hfma.org.
