The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) MA-RI Chapter and the New England Healthcare Internal Auditors (NEHIA) would like to thank all of those who made the in-person 3-day Compliance and Internal Audit Conference a success!
Thank you to our more than 130 participants who joined us from December 4th – 6th, 2024. We hope you enjoyed the presentations from expert presenters from healthcare compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, internal auditing, and of course, regulatory agencies (OCR and FBI). A special thank you those who participated in the Gemma E. Moran United Way / Labor Food Center Virtual Food Drive by either bringing non-perishable items in person to the conference or by making a direct donation to the Center. Additionally, both organizations also made a donation to the Riverfront Children’s Center based on Groton, CT. The Center celebrating 40 years of nurturing the unique needs of children and their families through high-quality education and care.
Finally, thank you to the HFMA MA-RI and NEHIA board members and planning committee members who effectively collaborated to facilitate the planning of the conference. Special thanks to the HFMA MA-RI chapter administrators who supported all the conference logistics and Mystic Marriott hotel staff – we could not have done this without you! This year was extra special for the NEHIA team as they celebrated their 30th year anniversary. Happy Anniversary, NEHIA!
