Call for Board Nominations 2025-2027

By | November 22, 2024

Each year, the Officers form a committee in accordance with our Chapter bylaws to nominate candidates for election to the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee for this year consists of:

Patrick McDonough, President
Dhara Satija, President Elect
Julie Hall, Secretary
Craig Nesta, Treasurer
Kim Carlozzi, Immediate Past President

This group will meet in early January to recommend a slate of Directors for the two-year term beginning June 1, 2025. Their recommendations will be voted on by the entire membership in the spring.

The Officers have identified the following desired competencies and characteristics for Board Members 2025-2027. These are guidelines only and should not preclude you from recommending members who you feel are outstanding candidates.

For Director Positions:

  1. Individual should demonstrate that she or he has made contributions to the field and/or HFMA
  2. Individuals should demonstrate leadership ability by their participation in HFMA Committees, in other governance activities and/or leadership positions within her or his company, and strategic thinking as demonstrated by knowledge and training
  3. Individual should be an active member of the MA-RI Chapter of HFMA

If you wish to recommend an individual for the Board of Directors, please emailĀ admin@ma-ri-hfma.org for a submission form. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, December 30, 2024.

Please note that if you are truly interested in serving on the Board, we also encourage you to recommend yourself for a Board position.

Be assured that your recommendations will be kept in the strictest confidence. And, although your recommendation will be given the highest priority, the Officers are charged with developing the best, balanced slate possible. In some cases, that slate may not include individuals recommended by you. Your nominations however, will remain active for two years and will be considered again during our next nominating cycle. Nevertheless, it is vital that we hear your recommendations and opinions.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the HFMA office at admin@ma-ri-hfma.org or (781) 647-4422.
