#Trending: Hybrid Work Models for the Win!

By | July 8, 2022

The HFMA MA-RI Chapter Women’s Leadership Conference, held on June 17, was truly an inspiring event.  Women leaders shared the experiences that made them the leaders they are today, and encouraged audience members to be their true selves.

The day ended the day with a panel of four seasoned healthcare professionals who spoke about the experience leading in these post-pandemic times. Panelists included:

  • Meghan Agnew Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (HMFP)
  • Alyson Belz, FHFMA, Executive Director – RCM Services, Change Healthcare
  • Marie Faustin, Assistant Director within Revenue Cycle Systems, NYU Langone Health
  • Molly Rosano, Vice President of Clinical Development Operations, Ultragenyx Gene Therapy

Panelists described how they each had moved their teams out of the worst of the pandemic and into a more hybrid work model.  Coming from different industries, each had a different definition of what their “team” is – small and large, employers and customers – and these differences created different responses to both the pandemic and the movement into a hybrid work model.  Panelists also talked about their experience with hiring and onboarding employees during the pandemic, and different strategies for cultivating team and organizational culture. Staying connected to their teams played a big role in employee job satisfaction but also in retention of employees.  Finally, we ended the panel by sharing each panelist’s proudest accomplishment during the pandemic.  It was a great ending to day of learning and sharing, and we are already looking forward to next year’s panel.
