Committee Chair Series: Tom Jabro & Emily Anne Jacobstein, Revenue Cycle

By | March 20, 2022

In a new series, we will be featuring the co-chairs of our chapter’s many committees. This week we are featuring the co-chairs of the Revenue Cycle Committee: Tom Jabro, a Vice President at Instamed and Emily Anne Jacobstein, a Director at PwC. The annual Revenue Cycle Conference is scheduled for May 5th and registration is now open. Below is an interview we recently conducted with the two of them.

What in particular attracted you to this committee?

Tom: Each year that I attended the Revenue cycle conference at Gillette Stadium, I was incredibly impressed by the programming, events, speakers, and activities. I wanted to get involved, as HFMA has done so much for me and my career. As a field of study, revenue cycle combines finance, technology, healthcare, accounting, banking, and so many areas that keep me learning and excited.

Emily Anne: I love the experience, knowledge, and leadership our speakers share with all of us. Each year, I learn so much about new and innovative ways our healthcare providers are solving difficult challenges. I also love the chance to network with colleagues.

What is your committee working on these days?

Tom: We are working to execute our exciting conference Joint Revenue Cycle & Healthcare Delivery Transformation Committees Conference! Save the date for Thursday, May 5, 2022!

Emily Anne: The conference will look a little different this year as it is a one-day experience and will be combined with the Healthcare Delivery Transformation team. We are so excited to see our colleagues in person once again!

How has your committee flexed and adjusted due to COVID?

Tom: I am blessed with amazing teammates (big shout out to Emily Anne, Sara Sullivan, Julie Hall, and Amy Poole). We have already had to adjust to moving the conference from January to May as well as combining with Healthcare Delivery Transformation committee.

Emily Anne: Like Tom, I’m so fortunate to be working with these other amazing leaders. We connect regularly and continue to evaluate and reevaluate the current situation to create a meaningful and safe conference experience for all attendees.

How can people who are interested get involved in your committee?

Tom: We can always use additional help and partners. Please reach out to me, Emily Anne, or Sara Sullivan.

Emily Anne: You can also get involved by registering for this year’s conference here.

Thank you, Tom and Emily Anne, for your leadership!
