Congratulations to our chapter! The MA-RI HFMA chapter won four Yerger awards which were presented at the Annual Conference in Las Vegas in week. The Yerger award is named in honor of Helen M. Yerger and recognizes outstanding chapter performance. Our four awards are for:
- Innovation: Digital Strategy: Innovating the Chapter Education Platform for the 21st Century awarded for the steps the chapter took to record and post selections from the New to Healthcare program on the chapter website to increase the visibility of high quality educational programming and enhance member certification preparation
- Member Service: Focusing on Women Leaders: Successes, Opportunities, and Celebrations awarded for the chapter’s inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference held at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on April 7, 2017.
- Collaboration: Informal Outreach for Early Career and Young Healthcare Professionals: Keeping It Low Key to Draw Them In awarded for the launch of a series of low-cost events allowing HFMA members to socialize, network, and educate young healthcare professionals and early career healthcare professionals about HFMA.
- Innovation: Digital Strategy: Expanding our Digital Presence awarded for the chapter’s efforts to develop a Twitter account to enhance communication and engagement with members, potential members, vendors, and event attendees.
Congratulations to the chapter and to all of our volunteers who helped make our chapter even better over the past year!
